Spend 5 days with tutor Stephanie Kaye creating hairstyles from several different periods using modern equipment and traditional methods.
Course will include:Health and safety;Finger waves and barrel curls;Take a head shape and measure for wig fittings;How to block a wig;Set and dress at least 3 different periods;Fitting and attaching wigs;How to stick hair lace;How to attach and conceal 3/4 wigs;How to change the style of acrylic wigs.
All products and wigs are provided, plus a handbook with reference pictures. Bring your combs and brushes, a notebook and camera to record your work.

This 2-day course is designed to give you the confidence to do a realistic short back and sides, furthering your confidence on period productions.
Course will include:Health and safety, incuding recognising scalp conditions;How to use clippers;General cutting techniques from a one length to graduation, building up to a short back and sides; Using scissors-over-comb to achieve a period hairstyle for men.
Bring your hair brushes, combs, hairdressing scissors and clippers. It is best to use your own tools to get used to the weight and feel. We provide all other equipment, products, a cutting comb, handbook and a practice head.

2 days looking at more advanced clipper work and cutting techniques from the above course to create period hairstyles for men and more modern looks.

A 2-day workshop for make-up artists looking to top up their expertise and hair skills. We look at the essential elements to create hair and make-up for the bride and wedding party.

A proficient daily should be able to deal with many things including wigs, facial, specific period looks, continuity and being able to work quickly and effectively. This 2-day course covers all the essential requirements for a daily on film and television productions.
Course will include:How to read a call sheet: knowing what time, getting to location and what to bring;Script breakdown; Researching for a period production;Continuity and maintenance of artistes;Character creation;Breaking down a character;How to attach facial hair;Creating a silhouette for hats and hairstyles;
Everything is provided, just bring a notebook and a camera is useful.

WHAT LEVEL ARE OUR COURSES?
Our courses are designed for people who have completed at least a foundation training course in media make-up. For the hair courses, you'll get more out of the course if you have some hairdressing and styling experience.
Past students have ranged from highly experienced make-up designers who want to top up their skills to new entrants who are learning brand new skills.
HOW TO BOOK
Request a booking form. We'll send you a booking form and, once we receive your completed form and have confirmed your application, you'll need to pay a 10% deposit to secure your place. If the course is full, we'll tell you and put you on the reserve list for next time.
COURSE DATES
Courses are advertised on the website. We can also arrange dates according to demand, so if there's a group of you, just get in touch and we'll arrange a date that suits.
COURSE LOCATION
Usually London or Surrey depending on studio availability.
STUDENT NUMBERS
Places are limited (normally only 6 students per course) ensuring you have lots of one-on-one time with tutors.
PAYMENT
A 10% deposit is required once your booking has been confirmed. The remainder of the fee is then payable no later than 14 days before the course starts. Look at the payment options.
