THE COURSES

Each course is packed full of information with lots of hands-on practice and, as places are limited, individual attention is guaranteed. All the tutors are highly experienced industry professionals. Our courses get excellent feedback and are fantastic value for money. NASMAH members get 15% discount and everyone can apply for help with funding, making the courses even better value. PERIOD HAIRSTYLING

Due to continuing requests, we are extending this course to five days so that we can include extra techniques.

Course will include:

·   health and safety;

·   finger waves and barrel curls;

·   take a head shape and measure for wig fittings;

·   how to block a wig;

·   set in at least 3 different periods, comb out and dress;

·   how to fit and attach;

·   how to stick hair lace;

·   and new additions: how to attach and conceal 3/4 wigs and change style of acrylic wigs.

I attended the Nasmah period hair course with Sandra and Stephanie.

BARBERING FOR MAKE-UP ARTISTS

How to use clippers, general cutting techniques and using scissors-over-comb to achieve a period hairstyle for men. Models are provided on day two.

2-day course.

This intensive course will give you the confidence to do a realistic 'short back and sides', teaching scissors-over-comb techniques as well as some clipper work.

With health and safety, scalp disorder recognition and cutting (firstly on practice heads, then models) covered, this course will further your expertise on period productions.

ADVANCED BARBERING

How to razor cut, using more advanced clipper work and cutting techniques to create a period hairstyle for men. Models are provided on day two.

Covering all the essential requirements for a daily including script breakdown, continuity, character creation, facial hair, creating a silhouette for hats and hairstyles, how to read a call sheet and much more.

Cost: £250      Length: 2 days     Tutor: T.B.A.

Dates are flexible and can be arranged according to demand. To check what dates are already available, please contact us. Forthcoming courses may also be advertised on our news page. The full price for each course is stated above and NASMAH members receive 15% discount . Help with funding can be applied for.

BOOKING AND PAYMENT

To book a course, please contact us. A 10% deposit is required to secure your place. The balance is due on day one of the course. Deposits and balance payments can be made by cheque (made payable to NASMAH) or cash (please send by registered post). Sorry, we are unable to accept credit or debit cards. Should we have to cancel the course, we will either offer you a full refund or you can carry your payment forward to the next/another course.
